Besides drops, we had two fumbles by CT and TT at key points in the game.Hopefully this offense will start firing on all cylinders this weekend in buffalo.
BJ'S A Great leader and has the more arm strength than I realized to give the Vikes a deep threat ...if TWill can just catch it!.

Chester has great vision and definetly ready to have a break out game soon!
One, we were in FG range.
Yes, we need to play better on O. LIke I said in another thread, it is being more consistant from possession to possession during the game.
This will make us appear more dominant.

Re: Vikings: Coach says offense is close
the more the offfensive line plays together, the better they will be. i am surprised they are playing this well this early. this is a very good sign. they will continue to progress. the better they play, the better everyone else looks.
Why must you defend everything this FO does....to the point of making your self look like a yes man.

Re: Vikings: Coach says offense is close
It is now week 4 and the running game should be starting to click.
Look for more yards from Taylor.
When that happens, the middle to deep passing routes should open up.
Get rid of the mistakes in the red zone and hopefully we won't have to rely on Longwell to score our points.

Re: Vikings: Coach says offense is close
When in the Redzone, fade to the corner with a tall receiver.
The Vikes feasted on that play for years....and as far as I know, defenses have never figured out how to stop it.
The math is simple....6'4" receiver vs 5'9" def. back....
I like our chances in that jump ball situation!
We saw a bit of it in preseason....its time to turn it on!
If nothing else, it gives the Defenses something else to worry about defending.
If we keep slamming Chester up the middle from 10 yards in.... he is going to be stopped more times than not...unless we give the Defense a reason to spread the D.
Just my nickels worth!I'd much rather see the Packers miss the playoffs because of their talent then because of their injuries.

Re: Vikings: Coach says offense is close
Hmmm, Childress says "we are very close", Tice said, "we are very close". Childress's team has very bad penalties especially at bad times. Tice's team had very bad penalties at even worse times. Low 3rd down percentage? Just like last year. ETC. I do hope things change. I do hope we are very close. I just don't like hearing that stated anymore. Don't tell me the offense is close, like it and the special teams were last year. Show me. Childress ( and MUCH more importantly, Tomlin) have done much better than I expected, but, "the offense is close" just isn't gonna cut it. It was that ALL last year.

This offense has nothing to do with last year.
The coaching staff is completely different (thank God) and there aren't many similarities on the O.
I agree that saying that it's close means nothing, but at least there is a semblance of hope when there isn't a certified meathead taking the lead.
