Peter King of Football Night In America reported earlier in the hour (I know this because I was standing right next to him) that the Vikings and Minnesota officials are close to a deal that would keep the team in the state it has called home since entering the league in 1961.

According to King, it’s no longer a question of “if” but “when.”

2. I hope this is true, but if it is, why are they working on deals christmas day? Wouldn't the state be more or less shut down for that kind of thing?

The NFL is 24/7.. However this is good news and my fingers is crossed that we will hear something official soon..

That´s pretty good news in a shitty week for us.I am not too much into the stadium issues ,I got a Q, if we reach and agreement before Sunday,will franchise remain here for good ?

When I saw this I thought it sounded great, but when I read it, I thought it sounded more and more like wishful thinking.

I would not be shocked to see a deal by the end of this week. But I would not be shocked to see the Vikings in L.A. in 2013. That is how much I trust anything from any source on the stadium deal.

Until a deal is done, I will remain skeptical. This shit has just went on way too long.

What "Minnesota officials" are being talked about? And I heard that LA really isn't ready to get the Vikings, at least for a couple of years. Not sure if there's any truth to that or not.

Drives me crazy. I've made several "large" posts only to get that at the end and then no way to get the post to go. Frustrating as hell.

I decided that every time I get that i am going to copy it and paste it into the post.

I get that stupid error all the time, IE or Firefox.

I hope the latest stadium talk actually goes somewhere and doesnt just fizzle out.
