From Startrib.
Hopefully this hasen't been posted yet.Four score and seven years ago, Brad Childress has brought upon this team, a west coast offense, conceived in San Francisco, and Dedicated to be a Kick jiggly butt offence. We are now engaged in an NFL season, testing weather that offense can get going or that our defense can long endure.

Horrible....He wont ever play, but still. Id rather see us sign Aaron Brooks out of all the shitty QB's in FA.

Another Eagle's connection. But I think I like this one!Kentucky Vikes Fan

Re: Vikings close to signing Detmer
Oh my gawd....
I guess Mike McMahon wasn't available.
Koy Detmer, career backup...here are his lifetime stats
184 of 354 (52%) for 1944 yards, 5.5 passing yards per attempt (doesn't get much worse than this), 10 TD passes, 14 interceptions.
I guess he's OK handing the ball off.
From what I can surmise, 3-6 as a starter.
His last start came in 2005, where the Seahawks blasted he and the Eagles 42-0.
Detmer apparently was out of football last year.SKOL VIKINGS!

Does it really matter? This guy will most likely never see the field. This is just an insurance policy.

Agreed, but I would put him in front of Holcomb haha...he is horrible. The IGGLES should have dropped him on his head harder.Does it really matter? This guy will most likely never see the field. This is just an insurance policy.

Re: Vikings close to signing Detmer
Where do you suppose he falls on the depth Chart?
Is he #2 behind Bollinger this week if TJ and Holcomb cant go.
Is he #3 behind Tjack and Bollinger and Holcomb is deactivated?

Works for me.
Knows the system.
Guess he's the best band-aid available.
Let's just hope we don't need him.
GO BROOK!
