He's obviously here as a swing tackle. If Kalil goes down we're screwed anyway. If Loadholt goes down, we at least have a guy with experience that can be a low end starter. Our second team offensive line was garbage in preseason. It beats having to turn to an undrafted FA (like Webb was- 7th rd rookie) that is thrown into the fire.

And I'm sure just handing in his Bears playbook a couple days ago didn't hurt either

Doesn't help much but it's a low risk move that could help us at some point.
