Vikings CB Winfield heading to Pro Bowl
Can't believe this wasn't posted yet...Furthermore I can't believe he was selected given his games missed and recent performance.
Winfield makes 2nd consecutive Pro BowlMinnesota Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield has been named to the Pro Bowl to likely fill the vacancy of Arizona's Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

Re: Vikings CB Winfield heading to Pro Bowl
At this rate, if the Colts manage to join the Vikings in the Super Bowl, they're going to end up playing the entire game with 2nd and 3rd alternates...
The true measure of a man is what he'd do knowing he'd never be found out.

Re: Vikings CB Winfield heading to Pro Bowl
I didn't think Winfield was deserving the pro bowl even as an alternate. I guess the league has finally realized that he is a top 10 CB in the league and should be honour in this way.

I don't like that. Guys shouldn't make it based on reputation. He absolutely deserved it last year, he had a great season. But in 2009 he missed 6 games and didn't play well in the others. If they're putting in a Vikings cornerback this year, it should be Cedric Griffin.
How about Mike Jenkins from Dallas? He really had a good year. Stupid fan voting. I think the pro-bowl should be 100% player and coach votes.

Either that or just come to the realization that the probowl always has been, and in the foreseeable future, always will be, a joke....I think the pro-bowl should be 100% player and coach votes.
Plus, there ain't gonna be any Vikings in the probowl game this year.Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please. Mark Twain

I totally agree with your post. This is why the pro bowl has become a joke. I want to see the players who are most deserving, not the ones who are well known in the league. Griffin and Jenkins had a better year than Winfield.gregair13 wrote:

Winfield was a replacement for Charles Woodson. They are also saying there is a good chance that Winfield may decline because of his injury and Dallas' Jenkins would take the spot. Also, this was just on Twitter:

Hmmm, everything I have heard and read today said Winfield was replacing Rodgers-Cromartie, not Woodson. Not that it really matters much.gregair13 wrote:
