I don't know how they figure that Detroit will automatically select Brady Quinn in the draft and have him start next season.. If that is the case, Quinn will most likely have growing pains just like every other rookie QB..

We will still get a good draft pick.. We need more then just a rookie QB to jumpstart our team.. They all thought that by signing Kitna, and McNown, that the Lions would be much improved this season.. Didn't happen, so they can get excited all they want..

We had the need last F/A & still have the need to sign a seasoned veteran QB to either start for a year or so or to back up T-Jack depending on which direction Childress decides to go.

Having that veteran QB experience on the sidelines, IMO, is necesssary for the development of Jackson.

If one is not there, who is the peer he looks at to gain the knowledge, experience & advice from if Johnson is let go?
