Great idea.
Lets roll the grass out into sub zero temps so it can get some sun.
Then we can roll the sheet of ice back in to play on.

The new artifical turf is almost like grass.
Its not astroturf anymore.
The new stuff is called fieldturf.

Part of the duty of laws is to protect the citizenry.
That's not only to protect the citizenry from outside threats, but also from themselves.
Seatbelt laws are no different from speed limits, red lights and other measures to protect drivers from hurting themselves while they treat the 2000-pound projectile in which they are driving as if it's their living room recliner.

I wear seatbelts because I don't want to pulp my head on the windshield, and I wear helmets so that my skull doesn't get Roethlisbergered.
However, if you don't want to wear a seatbelt or helmet, nobody should be able to tell you otherwise.

Pretty soon, they'll pass laws that make me wear condoms when I attack the 'ole lady.
Enough is enough.

I'm willing to pay extra on car insurance.
Doesn't bother me that much at all.
Hell, I'm even looking at buying some hybrid econ-o-mobile, and I'm a guy who jumps out of airplanes and blows shit up professionally.

You know, I strongly dislike it when laws restricting my personal freedom are taken away while I'm deployed to Iraq.

My wife is a paramedic instructor, and has been in that line of work for a long time.
I'm an EMT-B myself, and a bunch of my friends are 18-Ds, or SF Medics.
I know, intimitely, the dangers of not wearing a seatbelt or helmet.
However, I feel quite STRONGLY that those decisions should be made on an individual basis, by the person getting in the car.

I mean, it's getting to be too much.
