Vikings bringing back TJ?
Vikings bringing back Tyrell Johnson?
Tyrell Johnson, two other safeties workout for the Minnesota Vikings

Might as well, he already knows how to stay flat footed and get burned in the passing game so he is a natural fit requiring very little additional coaching.

Even he would be better than Sanford.

Not a big fan of his. I still remember a dropped interception in the end zone that could have sealed the game for us.

Ha, that pretty much sums up most of the safeties we've had the past decade. I still remember Robert Griffith dropping one in the end zone on the Falcons game tying drive in the '98 championship game, but Anderson got all the blame. But yeah our DB's have dropped what seems like a lot of game sealing INT's in recent years.

When I hear the term "safety" in connection to our DBs, I'm always reminded of Steve Martin's fork in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
'Course, the last part of that scene reminds me of the ending of all too many of our games.Last edited by BBQ Platypus; 09-29-2012 at 08:50 PM.

The Dolphins cut Johnson because that team was just too deep in the secondary. The Vikings should feel lucky to be able to pick up such a high caliber player from a team with such winning ways. Picking up former Vikings cast offs that have then been cast of my Miami has proven to work well in the past too. I say, "Go for it!"
