Don't think a punter was ever the reason a team did or did not make the playoffs.

His views have nothing to do with his punting. Although I suspect you do not agree with his views, and this gave you an opportunity to vent your opposition, there was little other reason to bring them up in this thread.

That is valid, but a lot of that has to do with field position. Net and gross can be thrown out the window when trying for the corner or punting out of bounds to avoid a good return man. Some teams have better or faster return players, and that can make a difference in a punter's stats as well.

I am not saying that being in the bottom half is good, as all punters have those problems at some point, but I am saying yards is not the only statistic that counts.
