When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Best part of that article (read it this AM) was the note that the last team to lead the NFL in both 3rd-down categories was the 1975 Minnesota Vikings.http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/78279722.html?elr=KArksi8cyaiUo8cyaiUiD3aPc:_Yyc:a ULPQL7PQLanchO7DiUr

Re:Vikings the best at 3rd downs...
Some other great numbers-
1st in sacks
2nd in rush D yds per game
2nd in pts scored per game
2nd in forced fumbles
2nd in FG%
3rd in KO yd avg.
Not to mention the numbers of Rice, Shank, AP, Percy, Favre, Allen, All among league leaders in their respective categories.Even if the Vikings lose, I can still find happiness in Bears, and Packer losses.

Re:Vikings the best at 3rd downs...
Of all the things to be great at, this is one of the best for a team making a run for the big game. A lot of people think the Saints would beat the Vikings, BUT like the Patriots in '07, If the Vikings can get pressure on Brees and get him flustered maybe hit him hard enough to scare him, we could definitely win the game. But we have to be able to apply pressure or else Brees may destroy our Secondary.
Although, anyone else think the MN Vikings v. NO Saints NFC Championship game would be absolutely amazing?
Also, I don't think I've ever felt as confident in a Vikings team since '98! There wasn't one time on Sunday where I was worried when the Vikings gave up that TD to tie the game. I wasn't worried when they marched down the field before Griffin intercepted Cutler... I feel so confident, yet not overconfident. Having a quarterback like Favre is just a treat... especially with how he is playing.
