Vikings Beat the Steelers Poll on What that means
The Vikings won!

What does this victory really show, though ???
I love the Vikes,
yes I do,
I love the Vikes,
so should you!

Re: Vikings Beat the Steelers Poll on What that means
We'll see what happens in regular season. Ole Ben was trying out a new thing with all the no huddle stuff. So the Steelers were not playing for real, just experimenting.
What would have happened if Ben R. had stayed in??[move]"Our day WILL come!! I just hope I LIVE long enough to see it!"[/move]

Winning...absolutely nada.
Its preseason.
I would venture a guess that every NFL coach would rather see good execution than a win.
They are trying new schemes, personnel, and testing the waters.
Each coach's game plan is set up so they are keying on certain aspects of the game and team.
They would rather see how these fit into their scheme rather than a meaningless win.

Re: Vikings Beat the Steelers Poll on What that means
I think it shows that McMahon was benched before the Steelers could take the lead back!
I'm sure its already been said, but I sure would like to see the Vikes dump this guy and bring in a Maddox or Testiverde as insurance.
T Jack is fun to watch and hopefully will be our future....but not now!
At this point in their careers, I think Maddox and Testiverde both know they are strickly backups and would only demand a salary as a backup.
Both could win a game or two if called on...
McMahon couldnt hit water if fell out of a boat!
Pay Brad an amount that isnt an embarrassment to the entire league and bring in a QB that has a chance to win a game if called upon.
Hey, if Childress has a love affair with McMahon, then tell him to retire and hire him to hold a clipboard!
I'd much rather see the Packers miss the playoffs because of their talent then because of their injuries.

oo ooo, it means that since we beat "the best team in the league" we are now the new best team in the league, and the rest of the season means nothing because we already won it all !!!!!

Re: Vikings Beat the Steelers Poll on What that means
I chose they have a chance at being a solid team this year. There's still alot of holes & question marks though. Each game they should improve & become more cohesive. I like Childress more & more with each week. The guy means business

It means we're going to win the Super Bowl, duh!!! What else would it mean?!?! ;D
No, but i think the Vikes will definately be a solid team this year and i'm looking forward to seeing what the starters can bring to the table for 4 quarters each week!!"I play for the love of the game; I play because there is no greater feeling than hearing 80,000 fans screaming when you smack somebody!"
