Vikings, Bears rivalry
Here is a question for you all. Will the Vikings Bears rivalry become bigger than the Vikings/Packers over the next few years? I think it may. I think the Packers are going the way of the 49er's and will not be a contender for the division for the next several years. If we manage to steal the division title from the Bears this year I think it could kick off a major rivalry between our two teams.

I think it would take a ling time of getting upset by the Bears to replace the Pack rivalry. The Pack rivalry has a lot to do with Wisc bordering MN too.

Personally, I don't think there is intelligent life on other planets. Why should other planets be any different from this one?

I think it may because the packers are going way down hill the next few years and the bears with their defense are going to be good so i believe the vikes-bears rivalry might become bigger.

Maybe -- But Green Bay has always been a worthy rivel. The Slackers and the Vikings have always toiled it out for the division crown. Chicago has always sucked except in 85 and this year. How much rivelery can you have always playing a lousy team?

Nope. Never!
They've been are rival since day 1, thru the 30 year draught & will remain our rivalry as long as they're still in Wisconsin.

Re: Vikings, Bears rivalry
One more thing.
NFL Primetime has been playing "International Statement" exclusively for the Bears, at least for the last two weeks.
Meanwhile, the Vikings get some weak theme song.
And the Bills, probably Boomer's favorite team, always get the brilliant "Powersurge," even though the Bills are doormats this year.
This is obviosuly their typical bias toward their favorite teams, and big market teams.
(As much as I do hate the Bears, I still have a lot of respect for Mike Ditka. He was a great player and a great coach, and now he is, admit it, a great commentator. )
Da Bears . . . . suck!
(obscure references off)
Go Vikings!
