Thread: Vikings All Time Team

Who would you put on the all time Vikings team? (An atleast 22 man team comprised of the greatest players to play for the vikings)

I'm doing this because one
1)I've got alot of time on my hands and want to make this team on Madden 06
2)It will broaden my knowledge of great Vikings players

Include name and position (I know sites where I can get any other info)

if you can't think of people for every position--np

I really cringe with these type of threads, but I will play:

I like this team - although I have a few minor quibbles:

1. You've got 2 tailbacks. I think you need a fullback to run the classic I-formation. In that case, I'll pick JimmyK.

2. The Korey Stringer pick is emotion. Tim Irwin did it as good for longer.

3. I'm such a huge fan of Antoine Winfield (in particular his tackling ability) that I'm inclined to put him on here, even if it's only after 2 years.

4. At kicker - I'm not sure if Freddie Cox is a better choice than say Fuad Reveiz or Jan Stenerud....tough debate.

5. You don't have a punter! My pick is Mitch Berger.

Pretty good list here. I'd probably stick Ed White in there at G instead of Todd Kalis

Are you kidding me? This is why I hate threads like this. Jan Stenerud? He played for us for 2 years. Cox was the man from 63-77.

I know I have 2 RB's, I chose it that way because the accomplishments of the RB's are far greater than that of the FB's.

Stringer was good and he was my pick not out of emotion. He was well on his way to be a star.

Winfield could go in there, but but Bryant and Sharockman were nails.

And yes, I did not put a Punter in there. He only asked for atleast 22 players and I gave him Cox as a bonus.

Yeah, that was a tough one. I did not see too many standouts in the Guard spot. I always liked Kalis.
