Thread: Vikings activate Burton

Those dumb bastards. Why did they activate him so early? All this does is give Carolina the heads up so they can implement exotic coverage schemes to take him out of the game.

The Vikings have promoted WR Stephen Burton from practice squad to active roster in place of Bernard Berrian who was released earlier today.
This move caught me off guard and I thought Manny Arceneaux, who showed some flash during camp, would get the roster spot. Burton had one of the worst training camps and must have made some big strides to get a spot on the active roster.

I guess they found their Berrian replacement.

I would have preferred to see Arceneaux also. He played well enough in preseason to earn a spot.
