Why are they so high over face value? $77 for $40 tix?
    They aren't.
All of the ones I have seen were at the correct face value.

Section 234, row 16 shouldn't that be a $40 ticket? Where is the cut-off row?

im pretty sure singer is right, i remember paying 46 bucks last season for a ticket around the same spot that a ticket is now far more expensive

I believe Row 16 is the cut off row.

According to the person I talked to in the ticket office, the tickets on sale will be the high rows in the top couple of price zones.

If you were one row back, then you were in a lower price range.

That is face value...in that section and row, the face value is $77.
Maybe one row higher up, the price drops to $48 (for single game tickets).

Face price on my $25 season tix is $30 for single games...section 213, row 25.
Can't beat it with a crooked stick.

    Moving this discussion over...

Darn, and I was just about to reply to you.

These are all high level seats, typically the ones that sell last.
When the KFAN presale hits, they will be better seats.
    No worries.
I don't really care that much, since I have season tickets in the upper ionosphere...

At the same time, I wouldn't count on TOO many better seats becoming available.
Vikings season ticket sales are up to 55,000 for this season.
Generally, the lower bowl is pretty much filled with season ticket holders.
You might get some of the lower rows in the upper level come available, but I betcha they'll all still pretty much be in the corners and the end zone.

I tried to delete my post, but the board wouldn't let me do it....
The lower level is 100% season ticket holders, with the exception of a single seat here and there.
A little less than a third of the upper level, about 10,000 tickets, are not season tickets.
The $25 tickets always sell out (Remember how they were $19.61 per game last year - that was cool).
So basically the $48 ticket zones and some of the $77 upper level will be open for single games.

Um, that's what they were at last season as well.

The Vikings recently announced that its 2008 season ticket base will be 55,000. Although that's the same as last year, it's 6,000 less than a few years ago when the team featured All-Star wide receiver Randy Moss. (Moss now plays for the New England Patriots.)
