In 2008, the Vikings suffered a huge hit to the heart of their defense when they lost middle linebacker E.J. Henderson to a dislocated toe injury in week four that put him on the I.R.

Thanks to a veteran leader, a young guy who always is around the ball, and a familiar face, the Vikings linebackers were able to pick up the slack and finish the season ranked number one against the rush....

No complaints about these guys! Greenway and Henderson have to be some of the most underrated by NFL fans at their position.

Don't forget about Leber, Tad. He may be the most underrated by even Vikings fans. He's made some really athletic plays in pass coverage that have really impressed me.

When Henderson gets back, and this group finally gets a whole year to play together healthy, our defense is only going to be better.


There's only one real question mark now(on the defense), and that with Johnson at safety.

one of the greatest things is that its still a fairly young unit with leber being the oldest and he's just getting into his thirties.

Greenway is still getting better and better, Henderson is at the top of his game, and leber is so underrated that offense make the mistake of going at him and he keep proving how wrong that is.

I love this part of our defense. All of em. I think in time, Jasper is a sleeper that will be a force in the league. But with EJ coming back, I think Greenway is gonna have a breakout season, and Leber's consistant play, Linebacking is not a worry for this team. Chad just needs to step up his game this year.

I for one am very glad they addressed the MLB position in the draft.
IMHO it is one of the weak links on this team.....No depth behind EJ.

We've added debth at all the LB spots. Gonna be a tough camp. once again some good players aren't going to make the squad.

In my opinion, Leber has been one of the most underrated signings by the Vikings in the past five years.

Definitely is.
He came into his own last year, him and Greenway both stepped it up big time when Henderson went down
