Viking shield?
Every time I see a Viking home game, I see at least one person in the crowd with a shield on their arm in the shape of the Vikings Norseman logo. I've checked the Viking Locker Room store in MoA and the one in Rosedale mall, as well as dug all over the internet but can't find a place to buy one.
Anyone have a clue where I can get one?

Re:Viking shield?
My guess is they are homemade. You might want to find a retiree with a nice home woodshop and see if he'd make you a shield.

Re:Viking shield?
I know which guy you are talking about. I am pretty sure that guy made it.

Re:Viking shield?
When we were up for the Lions game a few weeks ago we saw someone get "knighted" in the parking lot and quite a few of the guys had shields. They were all part of Syd's Viking World Order.

Re:Viking shield?
I'm not talking about an actual Viking shield used in the dark ages to fend off ax blows, like what's in the eHow article. What I want is one I see constantly during the games that's shaped like this:

I'm kinda surprised I can't find a pic of it anywhere on the 'net...
And, it'd take a far better carpenter than me to craft one of those out of wood. I was under the impression the "face" of it was either plastic or some kid of rubber, based on what it looks like on my TV.

This is the only pic I could find on the net:

I remember seeing a Vikings fan at the game that had a bronze looking shield with the nordic head engraved in the middle.
But if you want just the nordic head, the easiest way would be to buy the 12" x 12" magnet and attach it to a round piece of wood with a handle on the back.

Re:Viking shield?
I've always preferred this shield, but maybe I'm just biased. B)

That's a good idea. If all else fails, I'll prolly just go that route.NeoVikesTX wrote:
