Re: Vikes7-9 says Sports Edge

I told myself that with all the rookie coaches this year, I would be very pleased with an 8-8 record +/- 2.

I'll be satisfied if they go 9-7.
I have to say I agree with most in this thread.
I can't imagine them doing better then 10-6 though.
Lets just hope for a winning season after all this rebuilding.

Yeah. My favorite part was when he questioned if Brad still has ability, and then said that "Kitna turns 34 years-old in September, but he has plenty left in the tank and also provides great veteran leadership." I'm just wondering what fantastical world he lives in where Kitna offers more than Brad. I wanna live there. Ryan Leaf would be the best QB EVER!!! :
WELL, I LL ASK HIM, BUT I DON T THINK HE WILL BE VERY KEEN. UH, HE S ALREADY GOT ONE, YOU SEE.

I honestly don't feel like we're a "Rebuilding team" rather an "Improved team" yes teh schemes and coaches are different, but we look like we're getting the hang of it really quickly, especially on defense. If the run game does not improve, I'd say 9-7 or 10-6. If it does improve I see us sneaking a few more wins.

I totally agree with Braddock.
I wouldn't consider this a rebuild.
I would look at it more like a re-load.
The new coaches have obviously got the players listening, and wanting to play for them.

I believe we'll have a 10-6, or better year.
With fingers crossed, and praying to the God of Thunder!!!!

You know, if I hadn't known that this guy was going to end with giving us a 7-9...I would have never guessed. He gives the Vikes a pretty good review besides the Coaching situation.

I think though that we are better this year than last. I think we have a stronger D and better O-line. The protection has been great. I'm not to worried about losing K-Rob either, I think we're relatively strong at WR. I have faith in Brad...

10-6 or better.

At least he likes what he see's, but he doesn't know much about the Vikings as a team. I say 11-5 +/- 2. Anymore more than that will make my season! ;D

Bookmakers say 8 wins tops for Vikes -- Maybe less.

http://www.covers.com/articles/articles.aspx?theArt=88743&tid=27

Here's the last lines of the article:
They’ve set the Vikings’ over/under win total at eight, which is one less victory then Minnesota achieved last season.

That seems like the right number given Minnesota’s favorable schedule. I sure wouldn’t take it ‘over’ eight, though.

It’s a case of too many changes for Minnesota and not enough offense.

I could not even venture a guess to what the Vikings will do.
The NFC looks weak again with the exception of the Bears so the Vikings should have a few wins there.

New coaching format, off season problems, we will just have to wait for opening day and hope the Vikings are ready to play and hopefully not like last year during the first half of the season.
