Thread: Vikes who Twiiter

I recently found out about www.twitter.com and found out that Darren Sharper and Sidney Rice each have pages and update.

I was wondering if any of you knew of any other Vikings or former like Sharper who also have pages?

BTW for those interested I know Nick Mangold and Chris Cooley also Twitter.

More importantly, I twitter.

I don't update it every day (yet), but I will be.
I have a professional site being built for blogging that I'm going to be starting, and I"m going to use twitter for minor updates when I'm away from the computer, great & easy to access from my mobile.

BTW, Sharper's no longer a Viking...and some people never thought he was.

Twitter is weird.

I don't have the time to twitter..... I don't "get" the big deal with it.

Then again I wasn't a fan of facebook at one time.

I'm not either as a "personal" social networking tool.
The amazing thing about twitter tho, is that it will and already is becoming the quickest most efficient way of getting your news straight from the source.
Many, many politicians, actors, athletes, writers, analysts, etc, etc all use it and update it regularly.
Just by simply going to their pages and clicking "follow" you get their up to the second posts, especially since the mobile site works extremely well on all smart phones.

I signed up for it, but I'm a facebook junkie, I don't have time for another addiction.

That's exactly what I use it for...CNN, AP, local news, NFL, MLB, Vikings and Mets sites, etc. It's a constant news feed with links right to the source.

You don't really need to treat it as you do those sites.
Its a good thing to log in to (like PurplePride) when you just want some quick info.
