Vikes have a terrible OC.....Bevel was not qualified when Chilly hired him....and it becomes more apparent every game that they play!
The play calling is unimaginative......I am not calling for "Miami style" gadget plays.....but his job is to get AP into space.....and make defenses pay every time they stack the box.
The Vikes predictability is going get Gus killed!
If they allow Chicago to Tee off (Blitz) on every down, you might as well start engraving a tombstone for Gus.
I'd much rather see the Packers miss the playoffs because of their talent then because of their injuries.

well this is a common theme.
bevell i believe played for childress.
    bollinger also played for childress.
mike mcmahon played for childress, and holcomb played in a system similar to childress.
the problem is if you believe in yourself and your offense as much as he does, you can bring in guys that know your things and think its going to work.
apparently it doesn't matter if they have talent or are any good.
just as long as they know the things you wanna do.
i think the more i see the more i think that maybe this offense belongs in the big ten in college football, where i believe it started.

a good example of a guy most people wrote off as not being nfl caliber.
guess some shouldnt make such quick judgements on young players.
    but i digress.

Re: Vikes vs Bears next week

I'm scared to see what will happen against the Bears' D if we can only put up 12 points on the Lions.

One of my friends from the sports bar I go to in Alaska will be at the game.
I told him to make a sweet Fire Childress sign.
Maybe he should pose as a Bears fan and hold up a sign that says "Bears fans support Brad Childress."

This is going to be a REALLY tough game. I think our defense can keep us in it and maybe we pull another one out in the end.
There is no doubt the Bears remember what AD did to them on their turf last season, so they will definitely go after him. Hopefully, we can hit on a couple more big pass plays and hang around and put it on Longwell.
I don't love our chances, but we definitely have a shot in this one.

If we throw the ball on first down, down the middle of the field, we will have some success.
AD had 111 yds rushing as the pass opened up the run.
The dink and dunk passes are not going to get us anywhere.
We had better be ready as I know they will.

totally, if we dont get the pass game going on early we are dead ducks.
and for some reason, though i think the defense has been playing really well, i think they are gonna get some pass plays on us so ten points is not gonna cut it.

First off the Bears are going to be pissed, they lost a very close game this week.

Let's just hope to contain their run game. The Bears run everything through Forte.

well i'm not sure what orten did today, but i know the 2 previous games were big games for him.
we can't overlook him, especially since thats our weakness and unlike us, teams usually attack weaknesses.
detroit is terrible and provided alot of pressure this week.
what worries me about next week is a better bears defense putting pressure that forces picks.
we can't get behind them early and do nothing for 3 quarters and expect to come back against them.
this is what i hate about our wins now, we get them and i'm still scared shitless after the game is over and looking towards next week.
wins usually feel good and gives you confidence, what is this bizzaro world?
I agree about Orton he has been coming on strong lately. This will be a very close game. I'm giving the Vikes a slight edge due to the Bears losing their starting LG Terrence Metcalf for ROIDS. This a huge blow to the Bears.

BTW it looks like the Bears kinda got screwed in the ATL game due the game clock starting late.
