The Vikes regular season record.Throw your 2 cents

I thought this could be fun, havent the time nor the knowledge to fully analyze every single game ..(I been gone for 6 months)anyway I see it this way.

@SD: I can see a L here,Rivers will throw on our weak secondary all day long.

vs TB: I gotta go with a W here, they havent had a D since a decade.Only thing I like about Tampa is Josh Freeman and the cheerleaders group.

vs Lions:We have won 14 in a row at home vs the kitties,to be honest I think they are a better team than ours nowadays but they will find a way to ruin it .W.

@ KC:An ugly low scoring game played on the ground,I think they will got the edge.L.

Vs Arizona:Another weak team and another must win on my calendar for avoiding the 4 th spot in our Div.W

@Chi:We always play bad at Soldier FIeld.Bears are much more solid than us.L.

vs Pack:Sad to say but I smell a swepp here,We are no rivals for Green Bay.L.

@Car:This one is pretty close ,two re-estructuration mode teams, they play at home and we are usually awful Outdoors.L.

    @Pack: Ass whopping(insert facepalm here)L.

    vs Raiders:Another weak team visiting us,ugly low scoring game,Longwell 5- Janikowsy 4. W.

@Falcons:They are a dominant force on the NFC nowadays.I can see an aerial assault and a clear L.

vs Broncos:Antoher winnable game at home against another rookie coached team. This will be ours.W.

@Detroit:Tough one but I think Detroit got the edge here, they may still alive on week 14 and we wont, that makes a great diference.L.

vs Saints:Tough one ,they are not what they used to be (like us),it could go either way ,I gotta give this one to New Orleans.L

@Redskins:Probably any of both teams got something on the line on this one,it could go either way too,I thin a home team W is more likely.L.

vs Bears:They must be playing for sthg , we sadly dont and to be honest Chicago is better than us.L.

    5-11.Throw your picks,

PS1:I ll refloat this at the end of season.Letīs see what the smartasses(aka Marrado,Caine,Purplefloyd etc etc end up with..)

PS2.My english sucks more than ever ,I know.

PS3.I am ready for some football.

I see that you don't exactly have high hopes for this season.

My predictions (with a hint of purple kool-aid perhaps):

    Minnesota Vikings Full 2011 Schedule

Sept. 11 at San Diego, 4:15 p.m. (FOX) - Win, Allen will blow up Rivers all day and begins his 20+ sacks season with a bang. Adrian Peterson destroys them on the ground like he usually does.

    Sept. 18 Tampa Bay, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win.

    Sept. 25 Detroit, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win.

Oct. 2 at Kansas City, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win.

    Oct. 9 Arizona, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win.

    Oct. 16 at Chicago, 8:20 p.m. (NBC) - Loss.

    Oct. 23 Green Bay, 4:15 p.m. (FOX) - Win.

    Oct. 30 at Carolina, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win.

Nov. 6 BYE - Win... because we have a nice break in the middle of the season.

Nov. 14 at Green Bay, 8:30 p.m. (ESPN) - Loss.

    Nov. 20 Oakland, 1 p.m. (CBS) - Win.

Nov. 27 at Atlanta, 1 p.m. (FOX) Loss.

    Dec. 4 Denver, 4:05 p.m. (CBS) - Win.

    Dec. 11 at Detroit, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Loss

    Dec. 18 New Orleans, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Loss

    Dec. 24 at Washington, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win

    Jan. 1 Chicago, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win

    Overall wins-loses record: 11 - 5

... and the Vikings goes to the Super Bowl where they defeat the Patriots and finally win their well-deserved Super Bowl Trophy.

Under a rookie coach,a washed up diva QB who struggled last year, low average WR corps ,DL and OL are not getting any younger either. What makes you think that 10-6 is posible?

    8-8 is reasonable I think.

If the team really comes together and the offense clicks, I think 10-6 is not crazy. The Vikes are just couple years removed from a near SB berth and many of the same players are still on the team.

This group of players seems more competitive than last year's group as well. Maybe I'm drinking the kool=aid, but I think this team might surprise some folks.

Pat Williams is gone and Kevin will be suspended for the first 4 games of the year. That is going to have a big impact that I don't see anyone taking into account. Then we lost Rice, have to rebuild the safety positions in a passing league and we have an old QB who doesn't know the system. We also have a new staff and a new offense.

    8-8

9-7, they'll be better than most people think, they'll lose some pretty tight games.I see them in the hunt for a wild card berth but narrowly miss out. McNabb is gonna' have a comeback player of the year type of season.

Re: The Vikes regular season record.Throw your 2 cents

As the offseason goes on, I get more optimistic about our team. However, 9-7 is a huge reach imo.

Sept. 11 at San Diego, 4:15 p.m. (FOX) - Loss, Chargers got better, while we did not. Plain and simple. Rivers will torch us for 350+, lack of K+P Will won't be as huge a factor vs. the run today. 0-1

    Sept. 18 Tampa Bay, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win.
I'm going to this game, so that means the home team will win (No seriously, in about 15 pro sporting events, I'm undefeated at home haha)1-1

    Sept. 25 Detroit, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win.
Lions still not clicking yet, we take advantage early. 2-1

Oct. 2 at Kansas City, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Loss
Playing in KC is tough to do, add in the fact KC is looking alot better these days, chalk this up as a loss. 2-2

    Oct. 9 Arizona, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win.
Another game I might be attending, so obviously, means a win. 3-2

    Oct. 16 at Chicago, 8:20 p.m. (NBC) - Loss.
@Chicago? Unless AP goes off for 200+, this will be a loss: 3-3

    Oct. 23 Green Bay, 4:15 p.m. (FOX) - Loss.
Packers basically had two draft classes this offseason. Their second draft class, was a class of 11+ starting NFL players returning from IR. They spank us, in ways you don't like to be spanked: 3-4

    Oct. 30 at Carolina, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win.
Newton is showing everyone why he should never have been #1 overall. 4-4

    Nov. 6 BYE -

Nov. 14 at Green Bay, 8:30 p.m. (ESPN) - Win
Tough game, Monday night football, but the Vikings have historically have one of the best records in the league the week after a bye. 5-4

    Nov. 20 Oakland, 1 p.m. (CBS) - Lose
Confident and full of ourselves, Oakland comes to town and gives us a heavy dose of McFadden, followed by a Jacoby Ford return TD to seal the deal. 5-5

Nov. 27 at Atlanta, 1 p.m. (FOX) Loss.
They are simply the better team. 5-6

    Dec. 4 Denver, 4:05 p.m. (CBS) - Win.
God i hope we beat the Broncos 6-6

    Dec. 11 at Detroit, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Loss
Detroit is clicking, sitting at 8-4... wait, make that 9-4: 6-7

    Dec. 18 New Orleans, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Loss
What I said about Detroit will also apply for NO: 6-8

    Dec. 24 at Washington, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win
McNabb has his homecoming party, but the DC residents aren't partying. 7-8

    Jan. 1 Chicago, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Loss
Chicago still has very much to play for at this point. Hard fought game, and despite a late game Cutler meltdown, we self-destruct, handing Chicago a playoff berth: 7-9

    Overall wins-loses record: 11 - 5

I'm thinking McNabb will be good enough for 8-8.

Which, honestly, I don't want. With all the help they need to get younger, I'd prefer to suffer a year of 4-12.

    =Z=

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Our offense just isn't ready just yet.

    Sept. 18 Tampa Bay, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win.
I have no fear of this team. They only beat the Saints and Seahawks last season.

    Sept. 25 Detroit, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win.
We are better than this team.

Oct. 2 at Kansas City, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win
Not concerned. They run the ball, we stop the run. Simple.

    Oct. 9 Arizona, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win.
They aren't clicking and can't run the ball. We beat them.

    Oct. 16 at Chicago, 8:20 p.m. (NBC) - Loss.
They win this one at home. We just seem to throw garbage games against them. Night game

    Oct. 23 Green Bay, 4:15 p.m. (FOX) - Win.
They have been a constant force but they typically play poorly at the Dome. We take this one.

    Oct. 30 at Carolina, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win.

    Nov. 6 BYE

Nov. 14 at Green Bay, 8:30 p.m. (ESPN) - Loss
We don't play in the night time.

    Nov. 20 Oakland, 1 p.m. (CBS) - Win
We beat this team. No Wrs... and a RB duo that is always banged up. Who is their Cbs?

Nov. 27 at Atlanta, 1 p.m. (FOX) Win.
They run the ball. We stop the run. They throw to the TE. We defend them well. Name their starting LBs and Safties.... I'll wait!

    Dec. 4 Denver, 4:05 p.m. (CBS) - Win.
God i hope we beat the Broncos 6-6

    Dec. 11 at Detroit, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win
This team is different. We don't loose game we are suppose to. I'm confident in McNabb.

    Dec. 18 New Orleans, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Loss
We can't escape the curse of Farve.

    Dec. 24 at Washington, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Win
We smack em .... McNabb goes off.

    Jan. 1 Chicago, 1 p.m. (FOX) - Loss
    They playing we resting...

    11-5 maybe 10 - 6
We have a very good team.
