Vikes Push $13.2 Million Into 2008 Cap
VIKES PUSH $13.2 MILLION INTO 2008 CAP
A league source tells us that the recent contract extension signed by Vikings defensive tackle Pat Williams has allowed the team to carry a whopping $13.2 million in 2007 cap space into the 2008 cap year.

Sounds good to me, I don't think there are too many guys we'd have to extend during the season, and if there are we have the money to do so. So come the 2008 off season our cap space is gonna go up $13.2 million. Maybe we'll invest in a shiny new RT(Starks *fingers crossed*) and another receiver maybe. We really don't have many positions to fill, unless some of the new talent really doesn't pan out.

Thats great news Mr.A,
But fact is, one of our strogest points for a long time now has been how well we have always handled our Cap Space.....
WE have a great bunch of minds in the front office who do a great job, year in and out with the Cap...
Another part to the puzzle to bring us our Super Bowl Win,
SOON..... ;D

Rob Brzezinski deserves a great deal of credit for his creativity in controlling the cap while finding/using competitive advantages within the NFL system.
Everything from poison pills to roster bonus to saving money to next years cap.
SKOL to you Rob.

It's great if they use it next year. Hopefully there will be some players worth spending money on in free agency. But a little soon to be talking about that.

I would say this if we have that much money available we can sign some key acquisitions, but yes...a little bit too early for that.

In addition to that the salary cap is going to increase by 7 million dollars a year.
I don't think there is going to be that many wide receivers available.
Maybe Bernard Berrian to play along side Sidney Rice.
