Re: Vikes LAST in NFC North

To be fair, the rest of the receiving groups in the division didn't set the bar really high.

I think it's safe to assume we'll have a better pass rush this year, which will DEFINITELY help the pass defense.
I don't think our secondary was as bad as people make out.
Honestly, the best secondary in the world can't cover everybody forever...a pass rush has to assist.
    They go hand in hand.

We'll be a better team this year, although the record may not reflect it.

Re: Vikes LAST in NFC North

i love this crap cuz these guys are usually so off base and even though i know better i still get all fired up.
the nfc sucks so literally if you can piece some things together next thing you know you might be going to the super bowl, ie; bears and saints last year.
the afc is a different story.
but our question marks are no worse than the others.

the bears defense is taking some hits and if they give up the run like they were at the end of last year they are not going 13-3 cuz grossman in close games will kill them.

the lions improved their line, at least in the sense they signed a bunch of guys, but if they dont run the ball, which they haven't in 2 years that pass game is gonna lead to sacks and picks.
and their defense is mediocre at best.

packers, improving defense, i'll give them that.
    still holes in the secondary.
no rb, mediocre line, and basically donald driver as a solid reciever.
even their backup tight ends have left leaving them with just bubba franks who does nothing but catch 4 1yard td's a year.

i think the division is winnable for us.
obviously we could turn out to be a total disaster also.
but there's a lot more positive here then i think these so called experts are looking at.
i think they look at tavaris and that's it and say last place.
    well f- them.

I'm happy everyone is doubting us.
I'm sure everyone remembers a couple years ago when we were suppose to be a SB team.
How'd that work out for us?

If memory serves me correctly, they were doubting us last year as well.......and they were right.

Last year was our first year with a whole new coaching staff.
I don't think people were excpecting us to be as bad as we were but certainly the so called experts were not picking us as a SB contender

Of course, they would be correct if we lose 11 games.
Another hack predicting with no knowledge of the Vikes.
This could be, arguably, a lean year, however, the team is going in the right direction IMO.
The wild card is TJack and the receivers.
They play well, this team could win 10 games; they don't, we could lose 10 or 11.
    Ground hog day, indeed.

Aren't most of us hacks when it comes to predicting the teams win-loss record? It is simply his opinion on how he thinks the Vikings will do this year, just like our thoughts are here.

Does his carry any more weight,
just because it's published in an article? Absolutely not.

So there is no reason for anyone to get bent out of shape over someone's thoughts as to how he sees the Vikings doing this year.

    It's a prediction he's writing about, not a fact.

I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

Re: Vikes LAST in NFC North

Well like last year the whole NFC was a crap shoot. The Bears rode there D all last year but otherwise there was no real dominating team.
