I remember when all I was, was a distro clerk (made copies of all the messages).
Eventually got to be the Fleet Communicator for the Atlantic Fleet.

Long story short, Everyone has to start someplace.
What better place than to assist a HC so that you understand how one thinks so that when you are a GM you will be able to get the right cats in for him.
