What is gonna happen to your theory this year when everything goes right most of the year?
The most of the year is going to be the issues as "THOSE" guys (myself included) know that when the Vikings build you up highest is when they let you down the most ala the '99 season.

Re: Vikes have few personal fouls

Sure, theres the "well the game shouldn't have been that close" argument, but really, isn't the NFL trying to keep games close?
    For competition.

There sure has been a lot of shit calls against the Vikings through the years.
Most of the time, another shit call happens later to even it out, kind of like that beer comercial says somewhat jokingly.
Unfortunately for us, guys like Favre get way more calls their way, and we haven't had one of those type of stars for quite some time.
Ooooh, he touched the Favre, must be some sort of penalty.
No, Randy Moss doesn't push off, he's just that good.

But, Man, has there been some game changers!!
Some with playoff consequences...Remember Art Monk in the playoffs at the end of the game in the 80s?
    Absolutely a push off.
I still contend that Poole would NOT have come down in bounds in ARI.
Or how about when Driver just up and runs right into Winfield in the open field last season?
Or Emmit Smith breaking his hand in a Viking defender's facemask?
Hell I've even seen calls go opposite, like a few years back when our WR got bumped by a CB, but quickly cut outside, caught the ball and made a nice effort play (Burleson?) only, it got called back on Offensive Pass interference!!
    D'oh!!

Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

Still, nice accomplishment in one area of penalties!
Hope we can lower the pre snap ones even more this year!!!

It's only ever a conspiracy when we play higher profile teams (Packers, Cowboys etc.) on primetime.
I still remember that call against us on MNF that Singer was talking about.
Where we clearly recovered the fumble (very clear on the replay), but since a packer came out of the pile with it it was their ball. It cost us the game to I believe.
One play, even if the refs get it wrong, doesn't cost a team the game.
There are 60 minutes of football in which either team could have gotten something done which also could have changed the outcome of the game.

Bad teams blame their loss on poor officiating.
Good teams win despite poor officiating.

    Way to go my friend.

I believe we are a good team even though we will still see some inconsistent play from the QB and OL positions.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

Good teams get better calls. If your team is known as a defensive power, the ref is more likley to let certain infractions slide. So it's really the chicken and the egg. Just ask Bruce Bowen. He's the biggest hack in the NBA but he ets almost no calls called on him.

    Well played my friend.
    ;D
I never said it was a conspiracy, just pointing out we've had more than our share of bad calls. How can you call a ref moving in front of Winfield incompetent on his part? How can you call our WR's being tackled incompetent on the WR's part? How can you call a fumble we clearly recovered that was awarded to GB, incompetent on the Vikings part? How can you call Drew Pearson's push-off incompetent on the Vikings part?
