DL will take up 10 roster positions this year and will have some many different looks that you guys will get confused who will be starting and what position they play.

Robison and Edwards would rotate in and out just like AD/CT did last year
Allen gets moved to LDE since we have noone to play LDE, and he'll match up against the opposing teams weak side.
HEY, he isn't gonna be ready to play this year.
We are all hoping for the best and that is he will not only beat this thing but he will be ready for next year.

Re: Vikes' defensive line after the Jared Allen trade
I was just thinking that we went from having a DE problem to having great depth at DE. Especially if Udeze and James can come back, we will have a surplus of servicable DEs. Meaning that we would be able to rotate them all in and out to keep them fresh

Don't bring facts and logic into the equationBTW, isn't Allen a RDE?
If that is true, why move him?
On the KC site, they have him lined up against the LT.

Robison and Edwards are RE, and can both make an impact by rotating in and out.
If we played Allen at RE, they would see very little playing time.
IMO, by moving Allen to LE, it allows our young pllaymakers tto play a position they are more suited for, because although they have played it a little bit, neither would make a great LDE

Re: Vikes' defensive line after the Jared Allen trade
Obviously, Udeze will not be back next year ... so we are looking at Edwards more than likely joining Allen and the Williamses.
I say we leave Allen on the right side where he is comfortable and where he will be handling the teams best offensive lineman (LT). I think Edwards would do just fine on the Left and Robison should be ok on pass-rushing downs.

I think Robison would make a better every down player than Edwards, especially on the Left Side.
I doubt one will be brought in exclusively on passing downs.
I think it will just be a regular rotation, every few plays change it up unless one of them in really on fire one drive.
