Thread: Vikes add Lichtensteiger, cut C Jon Cooper

News posting around here is SLOW...

Vikings claimed C/G Kory Lichtensteiger from the Broncos and cut UDFA rookie C Jon Cooper.
Lichtensteiger was the Broncos 4th round draft choice in 2008, but it was felt that he wasn't a good fit for the Broncos new blocking scheme.
Interestingly enough, he apparently IS suited for a zone blocking scheme such as the Vikings use.

No word as of yet as to whether the Vikings will try to sign Cooper to the practice squad if he clears waivers.
