EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) Almost forgotten in the furor over Brett Favre is a Minnesota Vikings defense that remains one of the NFL's best.....

It is no secret to any NFL fan that the Vikings D has been coming together for a while now.
Not sure that quietly defines it.Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please. Mark Twain

And having only lost Sharper from last years defense is going to give us a big advantage in chemistry and adding new wrinkles to the scheme. This should be the most stout defense we have fielded since the early days of Dungy as the DC.

D is going to be freaking disgusting this year. Madieu and EJ being there for the whole season is going to be fun to watch.

Out safties are an issue. I don't think Williams is that great and Johnson has to prove that he isn't a liability.
In the cover 2, the safties are key and we have some question marks at both positions.

I'm more worried about Tyrell then Williams, I think Williams has been solid so far."And3rs53" wrote:

Not to mention the shitty depth at the position though.

Re: Veteran Vikings 'D' quietly comes together
yeah....our lack of depth there is concerning
hopefully...since our linemen and linebackers are so strong, hopefully they will not have to cover anyone for a long time

Sharper wasn't a great safety at this point, but still better then Johnson.
So hopefully Johnson can progress and become the better half of our safety tandom.

The calm before the storm.

Personally, I don't think there is intelligent life on other planets. Why should other planets be any different from this one?
