This got me thinking - so here's my ALL-TIME Vikings Roster.
My apologies if I have Left and Right mixed up on tackles, guards, ends, etc.
I put them where I think they would have the most impact.

    QB:
    Fran Tarkenton

    RB:
    Purple Jesus
    FB:
    Tony Richardson

    LT:
    Ron Yary

    LG:
    Steve Hutchinson
    C:

    Mick Tinglehoff
    RG:
    Ed White
    RT:
    Gary Zimmerman

    WR:
    Cris Carter
    WR:
    Randy Moss

    TE:
    Steve Jordan

    K:
    Freddy Cox
    P:
    Mitch Berger

    DE:
    Carl Eller
    DT:
    Alan Page
    DT:
    Kevin Williams
    DE:
    Chris Doleman

    OLB: Matt Blair
    MLB: Jack Del Rio
    OLB: Fred McNeil

    CB:
    Carl Lee
    FS:
    Paul Krause
    SS:
    Joey Browner
    CB:
    Antoine Winfield
    Solid list =Z=
    Just a few notes.
Yary played RT for the Vikings.
Zimmerman LT, by far the most talented pair we've ever had, not many others come close!

    As far as the rest I would consider differently;
    FB - Bill Brown
    LG - Randall McDaniel
    DT - Page and Randle
    MLB - Studwell
CB - Bobby Bryant, Nate Wright
    K - Faud Reviez
Thanks for the correction the tackle spots.

As to FB - was Bill Brown a blocker?
I don't want a FB on this team who's going to want the ball.
I want a selfless blocker who thrives on punching open holes for AD to go to daylight.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

What is all this love for Cunningham?
He had ONE full season for the Vikings ('98) and his successes that year were due (IMHO) to having Cris Carter, Randy Moss and Robert Smith as weapons at his disposal.

Tommy Kramer, OTOH, had a much longer and more productive career as a Viking, with FAR fewer weapons.

    Very true.
And he spent most of his career on his back thanks to a mediocre OL.

I don't remember Brownie being such a great blocker. I'd go with TRich also.

Re Yary - I thought he was LT. I recall some incredible games he had against one of the game's great DE's, Deacon Jones (who I thought played RE).

    LOL!
    So true.

    The Double Duece is Loose!!
I was thinking about Palmer returning kicks just the other day...good to see others share my respect for that guy.
Even though, he never really had a position other than "returner."

I've been saying for years that the Vikings should hire Joey Browner as their Tackling Coach.
Everybody at every position could benefit from a bit of his martial arts insight into how to take a MFer down and hard!!!! ;D
I'd pay him a million a year just to run some special sessions through OTAs, mini camp, and preseason...OK, maybe not that much.
I'm not real sure how much Childress is making a year...or any of his other assisstants for that matter...?

Maybe, the answer isn't a player at all.
Maybe Bud Grant is what we need to whip today's cry babies into shape and inspire them to out perform their supposed, "potential."
(*NOT meant as a rip on our team now, which seems to have an improving character already, but more on the general NFL*)
I got to say, I really like that Childress and the Vikings in general are trying to keep Bud more involved!
