I'd be surprised if a 12 year old kid is more interested in purple dinosaurs & mascots than he was the actual game.

At what age were did you start enjoying the the Vikings & football. In your late teens or adulthood? Certainly by your claim it couldn't have happened to you or many others when you were a kid.
    I morphed nothing.
My original post on this was to say that Victor was brought in to appeal to the young kids.

    ...........

    Give up.
Its a discussion you can't win with me.

    ;D
    So you are automatically right?

Mascots are great for little kids, but i don't think parents take their kids to a game just for the mascot. If the mascot wasn't there do you think a father would take his kid to a game? of course he does. All the mascot does is to make it a 'bit more pleasant but a mascot won't bring big crowds of little kids to a stadium
Doesn't mean I am right. Just means he can't change my mind.... ;D

Additionally, I never once said parents take thier kids to the game just for the mascots.
I said the team has a mascot like that for the kids.

Not sure were that came from.

I actually didn't think you were talking about 12 year olds either - perhaps because of my personal perspective as I have young kids myself. Obviously there comes a point where they become more interested in the game versus the game day experience.
I am sure that point is different for everybody.

My belief is that having a mascot like Viktor enhances the game day experience while taking absolutely nothing away from the game.
Experience is a pretty big thing - it is one of the reasons people pay to go to the game itself versus just watching it on TV.
I figured that's how you might have taken it since your boy is quite young. Mine were older when they saw their first game. They are 25 & 23 now,
yet I, like most parents would, still refer to them as my kids.

And for those of you that haven't figured it out yet, that's Marrdro defined in a nutshell.

It doesn't get much simpler than that.

    ;D

BTW, Do you still have the Brad Johnson jersey?
