    The unoficial "Bench Donny" thread.

Hey fellas, just pondering the patience meter out there and I was wondering at which point in the season we pull Donny and let Ponder get his reps in? Two,three, four games, or never and just let the season "circle the drain".

I personally don't see the point of keeping him out there for more than four games if the mediocrity continues. I know there are other factors involved, receivers, tight ends getting open, fixing a horrible o line, etc...

At some point though he's going to have to make something happen to at least justify his playing time and sacrificing valuable experience for Christian. What say you?

So he should be benched because we had a 10 point lead against a team that had the #1 offense and # Defense last season? Did I mention they were healthy, we are missing our best Defensive Player, and just implemented a new head coach, offense, and OC.

Being a Vikings fan is hard sometimes.

Some people say the glass is half empty, while others look at it as always needing a refill.

    Relax.

I personally would have no problem with benching him if this continues for 4 or 5 games, but I hardly think it is time to bench him now.

Jesus Christ! We are starting to sound like Broncos fan. Stop it. Just stop it.

Sorry Rick! Keep up the good work.

Those other factors you speak of........they'll still exist regardless of what QB starts.

We need to give Ponder a year to learn the offense. Regardless of how well Donovan plays. And we need to get him a blindside protector in the next draft. With a stud LT and a year of the offense under his belt, Christian will have a much better chance of succeeding as our franchise QB.

Sorry Rick! Keep up the good work.
