When defensive tackle Pat Williams signed his contract extension with the Vikings 11 months ago, in many ways, it was a show of faith in the organization....

Big Pat is gonna guide his team into the playoffs this year. ;D

I met him at last year's training camp.
He truly is one cool guy.
I showed him my State Championship ring (specifically the State of Louisiana outline inside the stone) and he thought that I was asking for a fist bump.
I was like, "No, no, no...look inside the stone".
He looked and laughed about the mixup, then I told him what it was for, etc.
I asked if he knew my hometown and he did (which made sense since he is also from Louisiana).
All in all, one great guy and one heck of a football player.
Now it's time for him to get him a Super Bowl ring!!!

it's amazing this guy was never a Pro-Bowler until after he was a Viking. I was stoked when he was a free agent signed with the Vikes,
I will be bummed the day he hangs it
up.

i am glad he stayed too.

I've said it alot lately but no one seems to agree.
Check the DT stats.
The dominant guy in the middle is ole Phat Pat since the team shifted its scheme.

True that...he's a true heir apparent to Jerry Ball.

My Bills friend is STILL lamenting them losing PWill.

maybe the best pick-up outside the draft since CC. hopefully the allen signing will turn
out just as productive.
