YES... Glad to have him indeed. I just hope that report about him needing surgery before the season was bogus. :rr:

    UDEZE IN PURPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    And to think...

How many pre-draft hours did we spend yelling at each other that we needed to trade up to get Udeze, or trade down and get D.J. Williams or Vernon Carey, because Udeze would never be available at 19.

Why do people ever bother trying to predict the draft?

Why was this defensive monster available still at the 19th spot??

Hope the vikes did their homework and he's not damaged goods!!

    UDEZE IN PURPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing I was bummed about... was Will Smith got picked right before our turn!!!! If we hadn't traded we could have had him!!! I liked him better, but I'm not gonna complain about getting Udeze!

    UDEZE IN PURPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Udeze Is a great Pick. And I can vouch for the shoulder injury. I've got the same problem and it doesn;t mean squat unless your throwing something. Wrestling, football, even basketball aren't even effected by this. It only really effects the speed of bringing your arm over your head. Udeze is a student of the game and a much better pick than Will Smith

Trading had nothing to do with it. :tard: Smith was taken at #18....we were #19 and traded down to #20.

    UDEZE IN PURPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    This is from NFL.com:

20, Minnesota, Kenechi Udeze, DE, Southern California
    Pat Kirwan's Analysis
The early run on receivers set up nicely for the Vikings, who needed a defensive lineman. Udeze was 355 pounds coming out of high school but has been playing at 280. The two most impressive things about Udeze at USC, besides his body transformation, are his 28 sacks and 14 forced fumbles, which tells you he has the burst to make things happen in the NFL. Some questions about a shoulder problem dropped him down here, but he will be fine to play in 2004 and may have some minor surgery at some later date.

    UDEZE IN PURPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was reading in the paper today that alot of teams passed on him cuz of his shoulder. So now hes got a chip on his shoulders to prove those teams wrong that he's ok. Much like when teams passed on Randy Moss and now there kicking themselves..smartest move Denny made.

Kevin Williams, Chris Hovan, Steve Martin, Kenechi Udeze, Billy Lyon, The other guy we drafted from Ohio State i dont know his name yet, and hopefully Kenny Mixon damn that should be a good D-line this yr!! :king:
