I heard this on the podcast yesterday...good interview. I like this guy, and I think he's going to be a great addition to our ST's, and of course eventually as Safety.
Also mentioned he lives about 15 minutes from where KWill lives, and had dinner with them recently.Any man who afflicts the human race with ideas must be prepared to see them misunderstood. - H.L. Mencken

What a great read.
Sounds like this young man really has a good head on his shoulders.
I really hope he does well this year.
I am leaning ever so close to choosing his jersey over Allen's this year...Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

I like Tyrell more and more, the more I read, the more I like.
I think he's gonna be a great Viking...predicting multiple Pro-Bowls for our new ball-hawk.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

As a matter of fact, I do know

Re: Tyrell Johnson - All about respect - KFAN Interview
Call me greedy but I would like him to play this year as the starter, he's that good at Safety, Safties drafted high can usually come in and impact immediatly as the starter. He's well rounded but could always use more work, and we will make him better.
There's no doubt in my mind he has Pro Bowl potential, I see him as a Ed Reed type player. He can do all the things that need to be done and he's very smart, when he catches an INT he's like RB, a true playmaker and weapon on defense. He's definitly gonna score some TD's on D. One thing I noticed when he got INT's in college was teamates all standing around clueless about blocking the opposing offense, our guys take pride in blocking for a guy.
I really like our future Tandem at Safety, Maudeu Williams and Tyrell are both very fast and athletic, it will be very hard for defender to catch passes along the sideline and get both feet down, these guys are instinctive and fast. The new rule is definitly different but I believe gives our defense a big advantage.
Had he played for the U he wouldn't have made it out of the top 15.

I am considering getting a jersey of his also.
Seems like a great kid.
Let's hope that he is a Viking for a long time.
