The NFL continues to enforce its rules by taking money from the pockets of the players who break them.
Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield has been fined $10,000 for using the goal post as a prop after scoring a touchdown on a blocked field goal return on Monday night.
Winfield did the fire-pole slide thing down the padding of the post.
Strangely, the NFL allows the dunking of the football over the cross bar.
Any other use of the apparatus results in a fine.
Linebacker Chad Greenway also gets to pay $7,500 for a major facemask penalty against running back Reggie Bush.
The officials somehow missed the incident during the game.
Bush fumbled while being tackled on the play, killing a drive that, if the flag had been thrown, would have put the Saints inside the Minnesota 20.
