Re: two signed
That's good that we got them signed, I hope we get Marcus Johnson signed soon as well I think he'll seal up that left guard spot. Also on ESPN they just reported that Fabian Washington became the second 1st round pick to sign a contract.

Looks like the first round signings have started with the Pats signing Logan Mankins to a 5 year, $6.4mil deal. Kind of off-topic, but the Pats have now signed ALL of their picks from the recent draft. Hopefully now that at least 1 first rounder has signed, more will soon follow.
Yeah. How about instead of waiting for the #1 pick to sign, to judge how much the other picks get, they go from #32 down and give a little more to each player?
I hate having to wait for the 49ers to sign alex smith. I just know they are waiting until the last minute to announce his signing, on purpose. I thought they were almost done with a deal before the draft even started.

Re: two signed
Fason must be ready to rock! Let's hope that he can get some experience this year...some carries late in the game after the Vikings have salted away the victory each week...every week!!!

Fason's deal was for 3 years and $1.267mil, with a $342,000 signing bonus. The thing that is impressing me most about Fason (besides his talent) is his attitude. He had no intention whatsoever of holding out. From his agent, Joel Segal:
"Ciatrick made it clear he wanted to be in camp on time and get the contract done," Segal said.
This guy wants to be here; wants to play. I look forward to him getting his chance to prove himself.

Re: two signed
Another tidbit from the Pioneer Press article I linked to in my last post:
Looks like negotiations are underway, with Troy Williamson's agent on Saturday giving the Vikes their counterproposal to the initial offer made by the team.
Quote from T-Will's agent, David Canter:
"I don't have a problem working 24/7 to get a deal done, or me getting on a plane and meeting in person," Canter said. "If a team and an agent want to get a deal, it can be done in a deal. It's just a willingness and an aggressiveness."
That sounds pretty good to me as far as getting Troy to camp on time. As far as Erasmus goes, there have been no comments from him or his agent Ethan Lock as of yesterday.
