Troy has play magnificent this year compared to last.
But he still doesn't look close to an NFL caliber WR, he still can't catch the ball with his hands. On nearly every catch he cradles the ball against his body. This negates his YAC, as you can't really be running full speed if you're going to cradle the ball against your chest. Nor is this the best way to catch the ball.
I don't care if he catches it with his facemask as long as he catches it. He can catch with his hands. You just don't see him doing it on the bombs.

Negates his YAC? I doubt it. Perhaps hinder it a bit, but that's about it. It sure didn't prevent him from scoring that TD a couple of weeks ago.

Not to mention he gets lost in deep routes and can't adjust to the ball on said deep routes..

Strange.... i made a point and then argued with myself.

1 TD catch does not make him worth the millions and millions of dollars he's already swindled us out of. He BLOWS. If you think he has the ability to play in the NFL you should check me out. I can catch a football when it hits me in the hands.

Troy is a Bust. A full out bust.

1 TD in a season and a half?!?!?! YEEEEE HAWW we're goin to the superbowl!!

My condolences to TWill and all that. Still the guy has stunk for the price we've paid and I'm glad rice may get a chance to show us something. I had high hopes for troy but even with the inconsistencies at QB you can't argue he's a major bust.

Guys, let's not forget, one reason our receivers drop passes constantly: "Tar-Farthest" Jackson (the farthest QB from being a real starting QB in the NFL) has no touch and throws bullets at close range, which I doubt Jerry Rice could catch.

Let's cut our receivers some slack. Our QB has no touch at all.

The "touch" I agree with. Throws bullets that no receiver can catch is bullshit. Favre's career was riddled with bullet passes like T-Jack throws. His receivers learned how to catch them & there's no reason ours can't.
