When do the Vikings report to training camp and when do they break? What are the promotional days and special-event days? Looking for directions to camp? We cover it all, along with the NFL preseason schedule and NFL training camp sites, in our 2006 Vikings training camp guide.

Admission
Admission is free to Minnesota Vikings regular practices in Mankato. Bleachers are set up around the practice fields for fans.
Training Camp Tips and Hints
Occasionally the bleachers will fill up so it's not a bad idea to bring along a lawn chair or blanket.
Players begin to file onto the field 30 to 45 minutes before the start of practice but will not sign autographs until the sessions ends.
There is a lot to do while you are waiting for the next practice to start each day. Mankato has a large shopping mall and two large theaters.
In the evenings you are liable to see some players at the restaurants and clubs downtown or across the street from the practice fields.
Directions from Minneapolis to Mankato. Minnesota State-Mankato is 90 miles south of the Twin Cities. Take Highway 169 south to the Riverfront Drive exit. Make a left at the light. Take Riverfront Drive to Stoltzman and make a right. Take Stoltzman for two miles to Stadium Road. Make a left on Stadium Road and it will lead to the practice fields.
Remember to always say thank you when players take the time for an autograph and or picture.

Re: Training camp update
I'm proud to say that I will be able to hit all of the morning and afternoon training camp session this year. This really makes the season much more for me.
