    From the article.

“Adrian’s not going anywhere,” Spielman said in an interview that aired partially on Thursday’s Pro Football Talk on NBCSN and in its entirety on Friday’s PFT Live. “He have him under contract, he is the face of our franchise, he is a blue-chip player, and we have a new coaching staff coming into place, and you know, [we're] very excited about what’s coming ahead for us.”

I found this funny since Spielman said the same thing about Harvin last season.

Personally I don't think the Vikings trade Peterson until after the new stadium opens if they do at all, everyone knows the team needs AP to sell tickets and merchandise. What I see happening is a contract restructure to lower cap hits for the incoming years. Unless Peterson demands a trade I don't see him getting traded just for the fact the Vikings cannot afford to trade him anytime soon. The team needs all the money they can get while playing at TCF.

I think his contract is to much for most teams
    He is getting QB money.

    Seems like clickbait to me.

He won't be traded. He simply has too much money tied to him. The most likely scenario is that he is outright released or he is restructured.

I imagine we are going to have AD for three more seasons. His contract will have to be restructured, but they will make it work. That will get us one season in the new stadium with him still selling tickets.

And AD is not your normal NFL RB. He hears all the talk. About age, about contract, about RB value in the modern NFL. He could just come out and go off this season. I don't think anyone would have a problem with that.

He's not going anywhere...It's the only offense we have! Neither Cassel or Bridgewater can carry this team on their backs and it is my hope that either of these two quarterbacks (unlike Ponder) can take advantage of 8 man fronts so our offense can move the ball. If you take AD away, you have a huge problem.
Another point that nobody is bringing up, Running Backs just don't command the salary or the picks that they did in the past. Look at where running backs were picked in the draft. This is a quarterback driven league and most teams have moved or are moving to running back by committees. Other teams would not pay AD what we are paying him and they certainly wouldn't step up to the plate to give us the draft picks that we think we deserve. I know he has freak talent and can carry teams on his own, but he is getting older and he does have a lot of miles on him. Keeping Ad is essential to the Vikings success, especially with a developing new QB on the horizon.

I'm not really that worried about it as long as he is productive, its not like they are up against the cap ceiling any longer and the Vikes did pay Jared Allen far more last season with less productivity. Also its not like they need to have that cash in had to sign Ponder as a top 5 QB either

Baaah!! Hogwash!! Citing an Unnamed GM's regurgitated comments from another conference!? That's not news, it's trash!!

Exactly! I also suspect that AD is going to thrive in Turner's offense! And, that our QB play will be better than last year, opening up more room for Peterson to work, and that Cordarrelle will be even better than last year. I also think our Defense will be better...which will give AD even more chances to break off long runs for TDs.

F'n idiots keep trying to swindle us out of our best Viking ever!?!?!!!!

Stupid!! Come on really. An unnamed source gives this supposed info. Why would you ask to be anonymous with a statement like that. Garbage, really think Norv would want to get rid of the best back he has ever worked with.
