Toughest Job In Sports
I just found this article about how the toughest job in sports is being a Vikings Fan and thought it was pretty interesting. ( I dont know if you have seen it before or not)

Naw. I wouldn't hang myself. Throwing a whiskey bottle at a rip off ref? Hmmmmm. That was unsportsmanlike (and criminal), but as I was watching that game, I can't help but think the ref deserved it, well, not really, but sort of. He certainly ripped us, and I hate that I have to see that 'highlight' every season.

There was quite a bit of truth to that article.
Is there a "happy" Viking fan during football season?
Not the last few years any way...
"Year after year the Vikings promise their fans the world and hand them a sweater, every now and then, it's even one with felt pine trees and buttons on it, and not even the Salvation Army wants those."
So typical...put us on a pedestal only to have us blown down like a good ol' MN snow storm.

I also think there is a lot of truth to this article.
Because I just got an E-mail from my uncle and he said he is done with the Vikes.
He said he's tired of the owner and coach.
Keep in mind this guy has been a fan for well over 40 years.
He was a a college player and a coach.
I understand the frustration but you can't give up on your team.

It is easy to get frustrated after the year that we have had.
Considering the new coach there was bound to be changes along with ups and downs.
Now next year should the team be better will he be a jumper back on the bandwagon...?

The whole point of living through this crap is that we care about the team. We want them to succeed. If you just GAVE UP on the vikings and became that fan of some other team wouldn't you feel bad? Feel like you betrayed yourself...I also think there is a lot of truth to this article.

When we FINALLY get our super bowl it's going to be oh so much sweeter than switching to some bandwagon right before they win. The red Sox suffered through a 100 something years of choking and not winning but when they won it was way sweeter after all that wait.
Stick with the team.. it will pay off.

I think the toughest job in sports has got to be scraping the backs of the stadium seats off in Lambeau after a Brett Favre touchdown.
