The tough times seemingly agree with Childress
The tough times seemingly agree with Childress
Most high-profile coaches arrive eager and depart embittered. He seems to be moving in the opposite direction.

It is a rare warm day in Eden Prairie. Vikings coach Brad Childress emerges from his office and escorts a visitor to the steps outside that oversee the practice fields, where players are working on passing drills....

Someone needs to tell the Chiller that Carson retired many years ago.

He should be getting a better attitude now that he is settling into this state. I can't imagine my attitude being that great after going from Madison,Wi to Philadelphia and having to deal with those dumbasses on a daily basis

Old News, we knew this last season.
Plenty of stories written about it and even TV got a hold of this one.
The farce was the first year when he was a hard ass.

Re: Childress' Icy Persona Thaws
Great article.
I think the first time I noticed his personality lightening up was when the morning Jared Allen first visited Minneapolis, Chiller calls up Mike Morris on the PowerTrip on KFAN, and started joking and BSin' with SuperStar, Sludge, and Hawkey.
Then he jokingly/seriously recommended/asked Morris to shoot on down to Winter Park to meet Allen.
When your 'tough as nails' head coach calls up a very un-serious sports/funny morning show and jokes with them, that's when you know your coach has lightened up a bit.Vegans are eating the rainforests. =(
