I would be surprised if the Vikings weren't being considered for the Thanksgiving night game at the Jets.
Love him or hate him, Favre's a ratings beast.

However, based on the strength of schedule calculation, the Vikings aren't even in the top 10, they're tied for 14th with the Bears.

As to how many prime-time games, there's no way the Vikings get six (particularly since there is an NFL rule which states no single team can have more than FIVE).

We won't play them in 2011 though. We will be division champs and they will be in second or third.Surprisingly we play the Giants this season.
We wouldn't have played them this season, except that we play that entire division.

Right now, I think that you can pretty much pencil in 3 of those. @GB, @NE and @NO. It would be nothing but away games, though, so maybe they'll throw around the GB game if they're not giving it to "us" twice.http://www.vikings.com/

I just figure that they want to keep the Favre going to GB as a Viking story going as long as they can."You can look pretty smart if you have a knack for planning ahead. That's Ted. The Packers are in good hands." - Ron Wolf

The game at GB wasn't a prime-time game this year. It was a Sunday afternoon game, and it drew Fox's highest regular season rating of the entire year. Can't imagine that Fox would want to give that one up.SharperImage wrote:

The game here was a Monday nighter, and it was freaking AWESOME to be in the Dome.

Re:Tough Schedule! how many primetime games?
Primetime at the Saints in week 1 baby!!
The Bears always play us tough...esp at their place! I'll pick that one.
At least one of the Packer games.
@NE is a possibility, as is @NYJ with the LT situation as is...
The Cards might have been a decent pick, but not after all their shuffling. I'm thinking Cowboys instead.
Basically, I'm guessing we'll get 4 if not 5, AND that many of the others will be televised nationally too cuz the Favre gets national attention!
