The photograph sits in a frame in Adrian Peterson's home, a picture of him standing with JaMarcus Russell, Brady Quinn, Calvin Johnson and Gaines Adams.

Each is dressed in a suit as part of April's NFL draft festivities. Two quarterbacks with potential. A receiver with great hands. A pass-rusher with speed. A running back with a question mark.

Peterson, who entered the draft with concerns surrounding his durability, slipped to the seventh pick, and the Minnesota Vikings became the beneficiaries of what could be the greatest rushing season a rookie has ever known. Nobody is asking about Peterson's collarbone now.

I can remember last April ,some of us claimed for trading up our 1st(AP) and 2nd(SR) to be able to get a better player at WR.

Now ,we can say CALVIN JOHNSON ,WHO?????

I was a huge fan of AD before the vikes drafted him and I didn't think we had a chance in hell to get him to fall to us so I think we're all very lucky. Now you still can't take anything away from megatron because he's still huge and physically gifted and you just can't teach that. Still I don't think I would have spent what it would've took to get him. I'm just glad we didn't get quinn. Lots of fans were very upset that we got the future HoFer because we had CT. Humble pie anyone?

To be honest with you ,I(and the VikesÃ‚Â´stuff ,I guess) had picked CJ before AD.But the Lions they have always been so good boys with us......

Clearly, those ahead of the Vikes in the draft failed to really get to know AD.

For the love of the game I hope that AP has a long and injury free career.. because that was and probably is the only "knock" on the kid.

Man, Calvin Johnson is a beast i would trade all of our WR;s to get him....not AP tho...Johnson- 2nd best talent in the draft behind Peterson.

How long are the Raiders gonna sit Russell on the bench??? WTF their season is over.
