Is it too much to ask?

Is it too much to ask that after playing a great first half that we come out in the third quarter and instead of letting our opponent back in the game and making us all sit on the edge of our seats, that we come out stop them as we had been doing and put up a couple more scores putting the game out of reach and resting our starters the second half of the fourth quarter?
Just once in a while could we do that?
Is that too much to ask?

    We just swept the Packers.
    Stop complaining =P

    I do agree though.
I wish we could settle the game in the first half once in a while.

I found this game to be less of a let down than the others.
It all started by the Robison fumble, and he should know better than to try and run with the ball.
Just go down and the whole thing probably wouldn't have happened.

I think besides a dumb play here or there we did try to put the foot on the throat

Like IBP pointed out the Robison thing etc..

Pack can put up some points.. Our D didnt really change that much and we still did our run, run, pass philosophy

So far yes but we have managed to get by.

Do it against the Eagles or Saints in the playoffs and it is all over.

You're right ... play a bad half against the Eagles and you have no chance ... unless you are the Raiders.

C'mon ... the Eagles are SERIOUS overrated. Now the Saints ... that is a different story ... and a team we would not be able to get away with such lapses in judgement and execution.

I agree. I really think the "let up" can be more or less attributed to one play. If Robison just falls on that it never gets close.

But I felt we did much better here than we have in the past and gives me plenty of hope going forward.

Did you see the Iggles play yesterday? Granted the Giants are struggling, but damn, that team is starting to peak now that McNabb is back in synch.

Their strength is our weakness. Not a good matchup at all.The Eagles are every bit as good as the Steelers are and we lost to them.

    Yes.
