Tony Dungy to coach Vikings?
Alright, alright, this is just my take, but what the heck, my opinion is as good as anyone elses.
I think there is a good possibility Dungy could become the next head coach of the Vikings. Five reasons why:
1. He's going into the last year of his contact with the Colts (2009)
2. He's a Minnesota by-product having played for the Gophers.
3. He's a former Vikings defensive coach.
4. The people in Minnesota would welcome him with open arms.
5. It would be a great public relations move by Zygi.
Reasons why it may not come to pass -- I think Dungy really wants to retire, and I'm not so sure Chilly will be fired if he finishes the season strong.

We can only dream. I am thinking he will retire.
Re: Tony Dungy to coach Vikings?
How old is he now?
Perhaps if Wilf dangled a lot of $$$, and the "challenge" of bringing his old team to the SB, who knows?

I don't think Indy will let him go. The vikings might have to offer up draft picks to get him, like the bucs did to get Gruden.
Re: Tony Dungy to coach Vikings?
why the hell would Dungy want to leave indy to come here?

Tony is 53 I believe.
Born Anthony Kevin Dungy on October 6, 1955, in Jackson, Mich., Dungy graduated from Parkside High School in Jackson. Tony and his wife, Lauren, are the parents of six children, daughters Tiara and Jade, and sons, Eric, Jordan and Justin, and the late James Dungy.
You are correct, he is 53. Being he was born in michigan, maybe he'd take the lions job.
Talk about rebuilding, and a challenge. :D

True.
Why would a guy a few years removed from the Super Bowl who still coaches a good team move down?
Who's next....Jeff Fisher or Coughlin?
