He's not AD but I agree completely.
The kid was strong coming out of college but it was college strong. With his running style he should show some improvement after a year of NFL level training.
This is one reason I am not sweating our receiver situation. This team needs to get back to running the damn football. We have moved away from it slowly the last two years. The moment we got behind Chilly just abandoned our running game.
If we want to compete coach Davidson needs to get his ass in gear and get the offensive line moving people.
He will never be a big numbers guy, but if he is up to NFL speed/size then he will be very important in a power run game, if we indeed focus on running and set up the playaction pass bootlegs that both mcnabb and ponder (at least in college) runs with great success.
I watched this video today and I absolutely loved it! Gets me all exited for football season. :)Quote:

I hope we REALLY pound the rock and become an absolute run-first offense which we should have been from the second we drafted Adrian Peterson. I hated that we threw the ball so much in the last three seasons. The run game demands patience and Adrian wears down defenses.
Our line is build for run blocking, our QB's and WR's are questionable, and... well, you should now the rest ;)
I think he is the perfect compliment to AD when it come to giving AD reps off.
I think, atleast for me, the biggest hack on him I've heard is from people who try to fit him into the role of a 3rd down back.
Once those people figure out that he was never brought in to be a 3rd down back, but was brought in to carry the rock for AD when he needs reps off, they will also realize what a good fit he is.
I have to say I think Toby is perfect right here and provides a perfect fresh set of legs that will still knock you on your ass.
I am interested in seeing him with no injuries and a full season already under his belt.
Lets not forget, Dnabb loves to check down to his RB's ALOT. Toby showed he can catch it as well as he can tote it.Quote:

Gonna be fun to watch him and AD to see if they can expand their games into that role.
Yeah. I actually think with McNabb in there, we might be looking at a career year for Adrian in overall production. He is going to be very difficult to handle carrying the ball and on checkdowns.Quote:

Chicago just signed Barber to the team and it looks like Chester Taylor is all but out the door in Martz's system.
I have to think that he could be the perfect RB for McYouknowwhat as both a blocker and also as an outlet on the short screens. He is as similar to Westbrook as you will find and he might just be what the team needs to move ahead.Toby could be traded to Ckeveland where he would be a great compliment to Hillis.
