Thanks for posting your article Mike.
    This is pretty interesting.
I do believe if the VIkes had signed Favre prior TJH would have signed with the Vikings.
I don't know about any schisms TJH may have caused either in Cinn or Seattle but it may have changed things around here either way.
Would Rice be doing as well?
Would the Vikes have drafted Harvin?
As much as I wanted TJH here in the off season, I am happy he decided to go to Seattle now.
He can stay there and I hope AW is back this week to kick his backside.

Didn't he say one of the reasons he went to Seattle was because of the QB situation?
I would like to thank Brett for taking his time in deciding what he wanted to do.
Because of him we not only don't have Housh, but more then likely we have Harvin.
So, thanks Brett for being wishy washy. You made this team better without even being on it.

There is just so many big name FA's you can bring in before the soup starts to sour.
Younger players need to know their hard work will pay off with a starting job.
Look at Snyder in Wash, he's brought in every FA he can sign with little results.

    You're welcome. Thanks for reading.

The "what ifs" really are intriguing. And no Harvin is pretty unacceptable. My wife and I were pretty down when TJ went elsewhere, but we kept the faith and can now see it was all for the better.

Well, Snyder isn't the sharpest knife in the NFL drawer. You need to get the best FAs for your scheme, not just statistically. A fact that seems to escape Daniel...

Brett was still on the Jets when Housh signed in Seattle.

    Trust me, I'm a doctor.

    A great read my friend.
    Thanks.

One of the "what ifs" I would have thrown in there is the CAP issue.
What would the possibility have been signing Whinny, TJ and our current QB?

Lets not forget, his contracts first year payout is spread out over 3 years.
Might be a sign that the coffers are getting a bit bare or we are up against the CAP a bit more than we, the fans, are aware of.

Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

    Re: TJ in the Housh

If memory serves (a big if) the Vikings were one of the farthest from teh Cap at the beginning of the off season. Now, tossing Favre into the mix certainly would have eaten a lot of that space, but I stil think they could have paid TJ, had the opportunity been there.

But, I'm still glad it happened as it did. The thought of no Harvin hurts my soul. The guy is a brick wall speeding at defenders somewhere near mach one with pain as the destination. What's not to love?
