ESPN.com's John Clayton and Len Pasquarelli report Tennessee Titans general manager Floyd Reese officially notified the Minnesota Vikings that he is no longer interested and won't do any more bidding for QB Daunte Culpepper. Reese labeled the talks exploratory and said he liked the current group of Titans quarterbacks. He said that the Titans will concentrate on longer term solutions in the future as opposed to a short-term acquisition. The Titans were reportedly a finalist in the Culpepper bidding, along with the Miami Dolphins and Oakland Raiders. The Vikings overplayed their hand at bit Friday, March 10, by putting a deadline on three of the teams they were talking to in trade conversations. All three had the perception from the Vikings that one of the teams was offering a second-round pick.
Re: Titans | Team out of Culpepper race
So does this mean that the dolphins are the only team that is willing to trade?
Re: Titans | Team out of Culpepper race
I think we'll end up releasing him...No team will pay what were looking for him.
Re: Titans | Team out of Culpepper race
Nah we will trade him, no sense in released him. atleast get any sort of draft pick is better than releasing him.
Re: Titans | Team out of Culpepper race
I hope what ever we do ,trade or release, we do soon because im tired of waiting
Re: Titans | Team out of Culpepper race
Well if they keep setting the standards to high then the teams will lose interest and we will be forced to release him.

They'd be silly to release him, they will be able to get something for him. Even a low pick is better than nothing.
Re: Titans | Team out of Culpepper race
ya so how long do you guys think it will be before we know?
Re: Titans | Team out of Culpepper race
I dont know if we WILL be able to trade him...DC might have shot himself in the foot stating he wants more money and makes it sound as though he will not restructure for less.
There might not be a team worth taking that gamble on him right now. I mean 6 mil up front before he even steps on the field
Re: Titans | Team out of Culpepper race
we knew this a few days ago when steve mcnair was resigned
