If they wanted another running back they should have kept Toby.

I would not draft him any higher than the fifth round. He is going to be primarily a third down back and that is about it. Another RB to keep your eye on and maybe take a chance is Isaiah Crowell out of Alabama State. He is a major talent and got into trouble and left Georgia. He had a chance to start his freshman year and played very well, he was really impressive against Fla. He has all the tools to be great but was dismissed from the team because of a weapons charge. You should be able to get him in the sixth or seventh round but he has first or second round talent.

There s only two things stopping you - fear and common sense!! The Truth you CAN"T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!

I would have loved that, but I doubt he would have signed a new contract here. MAYBE if we had overpaid him by a lot, but probably not. He wanted his opportunity to start.

Sure. With the way RB's are devalued these days, a good value RB later in the draft makes a lot of sense. They can typically come in and contribute on day one making rookies more attractive.

Wat if tha vikings trade for LaMichael James probably wouldn't have to give up much

I love the idea of Tre Mason if he is sitting there for our third round pick(s). He could easily backup Adrian while gradually taking over the role for the future.

Now, he is probably one of the better backs in the draft ... there is a ton of sixth-seventh round talent that would more than be serviceable for the next couple of years as well behind Adrian.

Point is ... it definitely needs addressed during the offseason at some point ... and the draft is as good a place as any.

Exact comment I was coming to this thread with. 4th rounder at the most. Probably could get him for a 5th. Definitely the best deal.

He has fumbling issues. And the 49ers are already willing to give up on him even though he was a second round pick ... willing to take much less to part ways.

I am not a big fan of him. I don't think his speed is elite in the NFL and that was his biggest asset.

All that said ... if they made a move for him as the No. 2 ... I would not think it was the worst thing ever. Low risk, high reward hopes.
