Sage is the answer.I hope that if Sage or TJ are not the answer, we trade a 1st and 2nd to move up and nab a Star Qb like McCoy and CO.

The Jets gave up a ton to move to 5th from 17th.
If our record is anywhere near what we think it should be then we will have to trade our 1st, 2nd and 3rd pick.

IMHO its kindof like comparing apples to oranges when one discusses coaching abilities of a HC vs a actual position coach."NodakPaul" wrote:
I'm sure when the Browns went 10-6, people said Crennell was "adept" at coaching his players too. That is a good point.Childress and Spielman -- with a financial assist from Wilf -- have built something close to a championship-caliber roster. If, that is, Childress and his quarterbacks are ready to take advantage of their advantages.
I actually think that Childress has proven himself rather adept at coaching talented players.
Every position except QB is solid with playmakers, and to a position they have either improved or we have brought in improvement.
It all hinges on whether or not Sage or Tarvaris can put together a season.
I am optimistic that one of them will, and that bodes will for Vikings fans this year.
I mean really, how much coaching do you actually think the HC does?
By the by, IMHO Coach Crennell has a pretty solid coaching reputation when one considers his body of work as a coach.
His abilities as a organizer and leader of a coaching staff is what I consider suspect.
:
either way, i remember a HOF coach, named Cower who won a superbowl and the next year finished 6-10..
there are abberations everywhere in the NFL... look at Belichek.. he had an awful record in Cleveland, goes to NE and wins multiple superbowls...
it has more to do than coaching, it has to do with the draft and Front office just as much as the players and coaching...
I think injuries had a bit more to do with the poor showing than what the coaches were doing.
Course, it will be hard to tell what that team was really like now that Manginius has come in and tore/is tearing it apart.
Funny how new coaches do that and fans act like it is a new concept when they get a new HC and he comes in and guts a team.

Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Just can't imagine this offense being run by a guy like Sage when you have a kid like TJ with all the tools to really make it click.
Heres hoping he can read a defense this year.

While Tjack may actually have the tools, I'm getting really tired of watching him use the screwdriver to try and pound in nails every week. Dont get me wrong.....I am not all that convinced that Sage will be any better but I think its time to find out insted of simply continuing the staus quo.

Guess his parents always knew he would be a sub par football player, either that or 1-yard reception in Tonga is a thing to aspire to?Tahi is the Vikings' blocking fullback. His first name is Naufahu, which means "1-yard reception" in Tonga.
